THE STERLING CUP 2025 CHARITY GOLF DAY

Come to Stock Brook Manor Golf & Country Club, for a Charity Golf Day in aid of UK Charities.

As two of the finest insurance industry legends will go head to head in a competition where their teams will battle it out to become the victors that are crowned the Sterling Cup Champions.

For over 25 years Stock Brook’s three main courses have provided challenging and rewarding golf in Essex.

The 27 holes of golf set in the delightful Essex countryside are a real treat for golfers of all standards and handicaps. Whatever your level, the Martin Gilett designed courses will provide you with a fine test of golf that is a pleasure to play. Stock Brook’s renowned undulating greens, rolling landscape and beautiful scenery create the perfect setting for a great day’s golf all year round.

The golf course consists of three loops of nine holes aptly named the Stock, Brook and the Manor. The main 6,950 yard championship layout features the two former nines, and designer Martin Gilett has created a fine test of golf that is a pleasure to play.

Gilett, an Essex based architect whose work includes supervising the construction of Wentworth’s acclaimed South Course, makes clever use of the natural rolling landscape, the water features and many of the courses’ mature trees. Set in breathtaking Essex countryside, the Stock Brook course presents a delightful challenge for both deft stroke players and long hitters alike several of the courses’ shorter holes appear innocuous, but can easily destroy a good card. With a number of memorable golf holes to choose from, the Par 3 4th Hole is already established as Stock Brook Golf Club’s signature hole.

The par 35 Manor Course is situated on either side of the Country Club’s driveway, and water comes into play on at least four of the holes. The Manor 9 is seen as a great alternative to the main Stock Brook 18, or as an addition to create 27 and 36 hole golf days. Much like the main Stock Brook course, the Manor Course offers a number of short, delightfully tempting risk and reward holes. The 338 yard 3rd hole is an example of a possible birdie or double-bogey hole, attempt to drive it at your peril!

Entry fee includes a Breakfast Bap and tea/coffee on arrival, drinks and snacks served all the way round and a BBQ straight after the round with presentation following the competition.

The Captain of the winning team will be awarded the Sterling Cup and hand out prizes for the nearest the pin and longest drive.
